H is for Horse

On November 3rd we studied the letter H. I don't know why, but I almost totally forgot to take pictures this week! I took some of snack time and of Christian's completed projects, but that's about it. Here's a rundown of some of the things we did:

They heard as I read "Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb" and we used our hands to pat the rhythym on our laps of the "dum ditty dum"s. I also read "Is There Really a Human Race." The kids didn't seem so impressed, but I love this book!
For snack we had heart cookies (that I made out of leftover Pillsbury Halloween cat cookie dough) and hot chocolate.

They glued hair on clothespin horses,

made hungry hippo puppets,

and learned the nursery rhyme "Hickory, dickory, dock". They colored this printable I made to act out the rhyme. You can download a copy here.

My favorite thing was the handprint turkeys. So cute!
They also colored these Humpty Dumpty puppets and glued hats on them.

I promise to do better with my camera next time!
