First day of school!

Friday, September 11th was our first day of Clever Sprouts preschool! Since I hadn't advertised yet and the two other little ones I was expecting couldn't make it, it was just my son, Christian. I went all out and did the entire two hours with all the activities anyway! We started with saying his name with the "Hickety-pickety bumblebee" game.

Then I had him find his name in a group of paper plates with names on them.

Next, I read "The Kissing Hand" and helped him make the sign for love.
We also made kissing hand necklaces.
One of his favorite things of the day was this video of "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" which he had to watch three times and has been telling everyone about. I had him help make the snack--a tree like the one in the story with string cheese for the trunk, green apple slices, grapes and Alpha Bits cereal.
I then had him color and help to assemble this paper sack backpack.

We sang the alphabet song a few times and lastly I drew lots of alphabet movement cards out of a sack for Christian to act out. These were a big hit! In this picture he has the "Ff Flex your muscles" card and is flexing away.
It was a great first day! We're looking forward to a few friends joining us, though.
