K is for Kite

We learned about letter K on March 9th. We started out fingerpainting kites.

I read the books Koala Lou and What Shall We Do, Blue Kangaroo and then taught them the Kookaburra Song.
We made really yummy kiwi kabobs with cantalope and marshmallows for snack.

We colored some kangaroos and little joeys to go in their pouches.

We then used markers and sticker to decorate a toilet paper tube and made kazoos!

We even performed "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" on them!

After preschool, Kynan and Lily stayed with us to sponge print some shamrocks.

The boys really enjoyed this, but just ended up with green smears after all their stamping :) The ones on the right were my examples.

I just had to post this picture of cute Billy Goats Gruff paper toys. I had the images printed from this site back when we did G week, but didn't get them cut out and assembled until now. There are so many fun free downloads from that site!
